2nd Annual Menlo Park Community Emergency Drill
Participants will assemble and be briefed about the scope of the major disaster, organized to respond and carry out numerous emergency missions including disaster assessment, communications, reconnaissance, triage, medical transport and treatment, light search and rescue, traffic and crowd control and a number of unexpected, challenging emergency scenarios.
We welcome individuals (at whatever level of disaster response skills you possess), church groups, Boy and Girl Scouts, Explorers, other CERT groups, community organizations, schools, businesses and corporations
to take part in this Menlo Park event.
Arrive early so you can find downtown parking. Bring your CERT gear. If you do not have such gear, we will outfit you on the day of the drill. Breakfast snacks, coffee, water and after-drill pizza will be available at the drill site.
There are roles for everyone in this drill including being a victim. Moulage will be applied to add realism for this live disaster response practice. Invite your friends and neighbors to participate. You may walk up on the day of the drill to be part of of this exciting drill simulation
The final drill preparation meeting will take place at the 300 Middlefield Road classroom on June 21 at 6:30 PM. The classroom is located at the rear of Menlo Fire Station 1. You can park on Santa Monica Avenue. We will review event roles and activity, and answer all drill questions you may have.
